He studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin and at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specialising in intellectual property law. He knew early on where he wanted to go later: during his studies, he founded the first student association for art law in Germany. He gained experience in the field of intellectual property during several years working for a renowned IT/IP law firm in Berlin and at his university's Internet Law Clinic.
He speaks German, English and Italian.
