JUVE: ‘dtb and Gauweiler end dispute between German government and Hohenzollern’

As reported by JUVE and others, the German federal government, the states of Berlin and Brandenburg and the House of Hohenzollern have settled their dispute over historically significant artefacts, which has been going on for almost a century. The objects of the former Hohenzollern Museum will be transferred to a joint non-profit ‘Stiftung Hohernzollerscher Kunstbesitz’ foundation - and will thus remain accessible to the public.

Dr Pascal Decker (art law, conflict resolution) from dtb rechtsanwälte was appointed as lead negotiator for the public sector and the foundations involved. He was supported by Bertold Schmidt-Thomé, an expert in foundation law. Georg Friedrich Prince of Prussia and the House of Hohenzollern were represented by Dr Peter Gauweiler as lead negotiator and Dr Dominik Klauck from Gauweiler & Sauter.

LTO also reports on the legal support for the historic Hohenzollern agreement. dtb rechtsanwälte advised the German federal government, the states of Berlin and Brandenburg, the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation (SPSG), the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation (SPK) and the German Historical Museum (DHM). Gauweiler & Sauter assisted the House of Hohenzollern and its head of house Georg Friedrich Prince of Prussia.

Spiegel also took a closer look at how the historic agreement with the House of Hohenzollern came about. The role of dtb rechtsanwälte, ‘a prominent law firm on Kupfergraben’, is also highlighted.
